What steps must be taken by the AGI community in order to increase the willingness of organizations to devote resources to research in the field? Must AGI necessarily start as narrow AI in order to achieve funding, then expand to encompass general intelligence once a stable foundation is created, or is there a way to inspire or create a desire for researching AGI as a goal in and of itself?
